A Few More Changes

A few weeks ago, I showed you my tiny guest bedroom. You can see the links here and here in case you missed those posts.
Let me show you a few changes I just made.
Since the room is roughly 10x10, I decided to keep the colors neutral, and hopefully, the  room would look, and feel, larger.

Here's the way it looks...for the moment. I changed the picture above the bed to this one that usually lives in the living room...

The sweet little faces on these pups always makes me smile.

Several of you suggested that I add plates to the wall. I haven't found any new plates yet, so I decided to use my vintage Poppy Trail dishes.

...OK, nothing dramatic, but I'm going for quiet and soothing... :)

I changed the look on the table with a big shell planter I found at a garage sale Saturday. The brown and cream polka dot pillow, on the bed, is a recent thrift store find.

The wall on the other side of the plates was bare, so I rummaged through my stash of pictures to find something with colors that were similar to those in the shams.
The humming bird picture is from Bombay Company a lo-o-ong time ago.

Here it is on the wall to the left of the window.

Garden roses and a cup of tea are ready on the tray.
Y'all stop by...any time.

Hugs, Babs

Babs...your guest room looks beautiful, so warm and comfortable and inviting! I especially like the plates on the wall, I'd like to do that in one of my rooms but haven't gotten around to it. Pretty pictures really complete the room!

I have liked all the changes you've made. In fact, I really love the relaxing feel of this room so much that I'm wondering if I should lighten my tan walls to more of a linen color like that one. I love the look.

I think you've done a fabulous job with this room. It is so welcoming and cozy that I doubt any guest would give its size a second thought. I love the shell planter -- great find! -- and the dog picture is adorable (I have a weakness for anything dog-y), but I think I'd hang a larger picture over the bed.

Babs this is lovely. I adore the lamp shades and the round bedside table. I have one similar but mine doesn't have a leather top. You are the luckiest person when it comes to thrift finds. Cannot believe that pillow! I just came in from watering. There were mosquitoes and moths everywhere. I definitely need to do it earlier in the day! Enjoy the rest of your week ~ Ann

I love the changes you've made to this room. That little polka dot pillow is adorable (very cottagey) on the bed. I also love the plates and that little doggy picture. It's a perfect serene but cozy room now.
