He's just over 18 inches tall, and I thought, "What a great Easter Bunny!"
He's perfect for an Easter centerpiece.
When I got home with him, I got out the Easter eggs and decorations from last year.
Just as I was "getting inspired", I heard that big boy say,
"Excuse me, but I am NOT the Easter Bunny.
I am Hare E. Rabbit...and isn't it a little early to be decorating for Easter?"
Ohh...O-kay.
"Well, I said, "let me think...what if I lose the Easter eggs, use lots of greenery, and hide the Easter basket behind you?"...
..."and, what if I use a few Hellebores, and a faux boxwood ball in the bird's nest?"
"That will be fine," Hare E. said..."as long as you don't use too much yellow and pink."
(Gosh, that rabbit has an attitude.) :)
"Well, okay," I said.
"But, then what do I do about decorating for Easter?" I asked.
"Well...don't tell anyone," Hare E. said..."but I do have a distant cousin named Peter...you might check with him."
"Oh, okay," I said.
So much for an early Easter post.
Guess I'll check with Hare E.'s cousin Peter. Wish me luck. :)

Hi Babs! He is a handsome young bunny even if he does have an attitude! What a lovely arrangement you've made with him too.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia;)
I think I found his brother!!! I found a tall bunny at Home Goods last week with a basket on his back too! Mine is brown and I have filled his basket with faux mini flowers! My bunny didn't give me any attitiude: yours must be a tad grumpy today:):) I love your beautiful vignette and now you can do another SOON:):)
You are GREAT!!!! That is a hilhareous story!! and I loved the sneak preview of the Easter eggs "behind" him :^)
Tell him yesterday was Ash Wednesday, so that puts us officially into Lent/Easter :^)
Blessings,
J
While maybe a touch bossy he did seem to have good ideas:@) A great find Babs-enjoy:@)
Babs,
Do you think he is jealous of his brother, Peter, and that accounts for his attitude? Regardless, your table is beautiful with its greens and the hellebores.
Judith
How perfect for Spring! I have some ducks out already! Anything goes for Spring! Sweet hugs!
Babs,
A D O R A B L E!!!
Not only Hare E. Rabbit. . .but your conversation, as well!!!
Gorgeous trayscape for Spring, Easter. . .anytime, dear friend!!!
Thanks for brightening my day!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Well I really like Mr. Hare! He is perfect for an Easter table setting or just to look cute on a side table somewhere. Isn't Easter early this year anyway? I know Spring break starts at the end of March.
Babs, Mr. Hare is adorable. I love his attitude! I'm pulling out a few bunnies this weekend. Time to get some spring vibes going inside. They certainly aren't out in the garden. '-0
Oh how adorable! Mr Hare is a delight in your pretty spring vignette...love the faux boxwood ball in the nest and the other greeneries:) Beautiful Easter inspiration! Hugs, Poppy
Oh how cute :-) Love how you decorated him...he's a treasure and a sure sign of spring!
Well, I say that is a really cute hare even if he thinks it a little early for Easter. You did a wonderful job of making him happy and your decoration is beautiful.
Be happy. Thanks for hosting a fun party.

Oh, Babs! He is so cute! I would not have been able to resist him, either. And I love share in your tablescape. You did a wonderful job layering this with handsome goodies.

Did you just get back from Colorado? ;-) VERY imaginative story!!!
I was in Home Goods yesterday and saw this bunny, too. I wanted him, but he had a chip on his shoulder. LITERALLY...there was a chunk missing on his shoulder! I wondered why on earth they still had him in general population instead of on the clearance aisle. I like how you disguised that eggs in his basket. I should have thought of that. I wanted to be able to put whatever I wanted in the basket; otherwise I would have insisted on a huge discount and taken his hairy little tail right on home with me! Heck...I could have put enough of a ribbon tie on him to cover that chip!
I don't think it's too early to decorating for Easter at all!!! Lent has begun, so I say go for it! I know I am! :-)
VERY pretty vignette, Babs!!!
Oh, I love your bunny! Yes, he's perfect for centerpieces!! I love your arrangement too, looks like spring is right around the corner!! I'm going to have to check out my Home Goods store too, I think I "need" a bunny for my home too!
Babs, this bunny is so cute and perfect for Spring (and Easter but don't tell him). Thanks for linking to TTF!
Babs, you're very creative! Loved this post telling us about Hare E. He is quite demanding, but who could resist him...attitude and all!
Please share which store has those M&M's with carrot cake! Maybe your area is a test market! I've looked in 2 states without luck!
Thanks,
Helen
Lovely Spring vignette! :)
Your post is adorable. Delightful and charming!
Oh what a great find of that handsome rabbit with the attitude...love your vignette and the different ways you are decorating Hare-E....
Wonderful vignette! Love how you have made him not necessarily Easter.
I just love a fun post. I saw Mr Hare E while I was visiting over at Make It Pretty Monday. He is marvelous, simply marvelous. I hope I can find one like him at the HomeGoods store this week. The vignette is perfect for early "almost" spring and the greenery looks wonderful in Mr. Hare E's basket.
Cute post!! Your big boy Hare E. Looks fabulous with your greenery!! Easter or not, he looks great in your pretty vignette!!
I love your post just as much as your Spring setting!!! I think Hare E is asking you to come by One More Time Events and share his beautiful arrangement…:) Very nice would like to invite you to come share it at Share it One More Time at One More Time Events http://www.onemoretimeevents.com/2014/03/faux-ivory-mother-of-pearl-ceramic.html… Tammy
What a gorgeous find. I love him and you have such a beautiful vignette too. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
What an adorable post and table! Peter is so adorable....and I love your purple glassware.
Hmmm......I think Mr. Hare's handsome good looks may have gone to his head! I think he looks pretty charming in his "not-too-Eastery" look, but will be equally grand with a few lovely eggs in his basket!
Oh he is gorgeous! I can sure see why he hopped into your basket. I love how you have him surrounded with wonderful earthiness!

Oh Babs, this is one of the prettiest spring tables I've seen this year!! I love the Hellebores, the greenery, and your pretty wicker tray. I'm really coveting your rabbit, even if he does have an attitude. :) I'm always on the lookout for pretty rabbits for our home; I just love them. He's one of the handsomest I've seen!
Great job, Babs, and I love all the colors you chose. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
Well, Easter Bunny or Hare.E. Rabbit, he is adorable. !! :)
Oh what a gorgeous Spring vignette! I love your new rabbit...he does make a stunning statement in a centerpiece with all the green. Going to keep my eyes open at TJ Maxx!
Beautifully done!

Hare E. Rabbit is delightful! I love your table display. You are clearly way ahead of me in preparing for Easter. I saw your charming link at One More Time link party. Ann Marie @ Iris Abbey
Hare E. is one handsome guy!! love how you've put together this wonderful centerpiece!
Babs, I ADORE your 'not your Easter Bunny' table & vignette! I need a rabbit with attitude :)

I love your "big boy", Babs, and the vignette that you put together is so pretty! You're being featured in The Scoop linky party that goes live this coming Monday night. Thank you for linking up!
I love this! Definitely pick worthy on recent link parties, and your wit with words is just as fun. Have a great Sunday and beginning of week.

Beautiful! Blessings, Martha
Love your post and your great Hare E. Rabbit. I found my bunny at Home Goods that I love. It is a different one with no basket but huge and makes a great centerpiece. I have her on top of a boxwood wreath with some cute Easter eggs. Everyone is sure ready for Spring. Thanks for sharing and your fun post.
I am still in Love with Hare E. Rabbit. I never did find a fine rabbit like yours last year. I am going off to Home Goods and Hobby Lobby today to see if I can find a handsome bunny to grace the Easter table for this year. Wish me luck, Home Goods in our area does not seem to have much this year (I went last week) a couple of bunny plates and a few grapevine bunnies was all I have found in the last three trips I have made to HG. Very disappointing! Have a wonderful Week..... Candy
I found one too a couple of weeks ago.. couldn't resist putting him out.. Great idea to keep him out w/ greenery all summer.. he's a beauty.
