Another Little Paint Project

Hi, Everyone. Hope y'all are having a good week.

I've been shopping this week, and I haven't done much around the house, except re-paint a box that I did last year.

Here's the before, or rather the middle. I was solid brown...originally.
Click here to see that post.

I got out the paint sample my neighbor gave me...gave the box a quick sanding and a couple of coats of the paint.

It's the same color I used on the "R" I painted a couple of weeks ago.

I was thrilled that the sun finally came out, so I could take a couple of pics.

That's it for now.
As for the shopping...I'm looking for a new rug for the powder room, and a duvet cover for our bedroom...and new curtains.
I'm not sure what I really want, so this may be a long process.
Wish me luck. :)

I love it, sweet lady! The color goes perfectly in your room and with your other pieces. I wish I had an eye for changing things like this! :(

That looks great! Love the sea shell on top and the books nearby. Your shopping list sounds like fun- I hope you find something that you love!

I feel the ocean breeze! '-)
Good luck on the hunt. I'd like to find some new bedding for our master. It all takes time.

I loved the box all striped like it was (that must have taken forever to do that!!!), but I really like it in this new coastal color, too! It fits in so well in that vignette!

Best wishes as you start the shopping process. Shopping is fun except when you're looking for something very specific and all the choices out there just overwhelm you! I think that's why I've never managed to get fabric up on the windows...just too many choices, and I'm afraid I'll make the wrong one!

Have a great weekend!

Just love how you painted the box!!...and good luck on your search for the bedding, rug and drapes...Seems like when I search for something I never find it..it is when I am not looking for something I run across great things...Murphy's Law!

Babs,
Love the tranquility of this hue on your box, dear friend!!!
The box is a "perfect" accessory wherever you place it within your lovely home!
I, too, have been on a hunt for new bedding and draperies for the Master Bedroom. Last year, I made a Ralph Lauren coverlet purchase which I love. . .but have since moved it to the Guest Room.( Still lovin' it, though.) NOW. . .I'm still looking. Most of what I'm finding is too contemporary for my liking. . .I'm still a Traditional Style kinda' Gal. So~o~o. . .it make take another Season, or two!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Fondly,
Pat
